As a Product Manager, you’ll play a central role in driving growth and innovation within a dynamic and complex product ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to build foundational infrastructure, streamline operations, and influence the future of payroll technology. You’ll work cross-functionally with leadership, engineering, and partners to deliver scalable solutions that serve thousands of businesses and workers. Ideal for a hands-on, ambitious individual ready to thrive in a high-ambiguity, high-impact environment, this position is your chance to help redefine how companies run payroll.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and prioritize high-impact product initiatives that support business growth and customer success.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering, operations, and executive leadership to execute product roadmaps.
  • Lead end-to-end product development, from discovery through delivery, with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Engage with external software partners to understand their challenges and co-create solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Dive deep into complex systems—such as tax and payroll infrastructure—to develop innovative, scalable features.
  • Translate market insights and partner feedback into actionable strategies for product expansion.
  • Maintain a user-centric mindset, ensuring products are reliable, intuitive, and adaptable across diverse use cases.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in product management, ideally in a B2B technology environment.
  • Background in highly regulated or operationally complex domains; familiarity with payroll or tax systems is a plus.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional product efforts with measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills and a track record of problem-solving in high-ambiguity situations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Passion for understanding customer needs and translating them into scalable product features.
  • Flexibility to attend the company’s 3-day annual offsite and other team events.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary:
    • $200,000–$220,000 (San Francisco, NYC, LA, Seattle)
    • $180,000–$198,000 (other U.S. locations)
  • Equity options and annual performance bonus
  • 100% remote flexibility with optional access to offices in NYC and San Francisco
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance — effective day one
  • Flexible PTO, 9 paid holidays, and 16 weeks fully paid parental leave
  • $100/month reimbursement for internet and mobile expenses
  • 401(k) plan and ongoing team events, including hackathons and happy hours
