Control Risks is hiring for an embedded Project Manager to directly support the corporate security function a major client of ours based in New York City. This position will work closely with the client and building management to organize and develop action plans around the improvement and growth of the client’s security protocols.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of the security space and be comfortable working with different groups of stakeholders. This role will play an integral part in being the liaison between Control Risks and the client for the duration of the engagement.

  • Serve as the lead project manager across all workstreams, coordinating closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize the client’s security plans and strategy.
  • Lead a team, manage issues, and ensure processes are carried out efficiently in a complex Client ecosystem
  • Closely communicate with stakeholders and partners to ensure success and alignment on behalf of the Security program; strong written, and verbal communications skills are required.
  • Ensure that team maintains high level of competence and operational excellence, including oversight of individual and team deliverables.
  • Continually refine and improve existing programs through structured decision making and collaborative execution.
  • Leads special projects, including special operational and managerial reports.
  • Formulate and execute process and organizational improvement direction and programs which enhance overall effectiveness; understands business processes, issues, and opportunities.
  • Manage the implementation of new initiatives, projects and offerings that support the overall mission of the organization
  • Provide regular reporting, metrics, and updates to key stakeholders.
  • Identify and share insights and learnings to develop scalable solutions.
  • Support new ideas through experimentation, ad hoc analytics, and framework development

Requirements

  • 6+ years of work experience in an operation, project management, consulting, or equivalent environment
  • 4+ years of work experience leading projects with cross-functional partners
  • PMP Certification
  • Comfort with managing compressed timelines with an ability to handle shifting priorities in a positive, collaborative manner
  • Have an outstanding ability to translate complexity into concise, intuitive communications
  • Communications Expertise: Impeccable written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels of the company
  • Demonstration of good judgement under pressure and ability to influence (without needing to use the authority of the role) cross-functionally in a complex organization
  • Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, people, data, and other elements to determine course of action.
  • Strong self-initiative and persistence, ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and drive clarify in key areas of the business
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to drive the highest strategic value and ensure time critical issues are handled
  • Experience developing and documenting procedures and workflows
  • Experience in corporate security a plus

The salary range for this position in New York City is $130,000-$140,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
