Overview:
The Project Manager, People coordinates our efforts across mergers and acquisitions (M&A), HR compliance, people operations, payroll, and benefits activities to ensure cross-functional alignment and delivery. The role will leverage strategic and holistic thinking alongside meticulous project management skills to build and manage plans across a wide variety of work.
The Project Manager will lead initiatives aimed at optimizing our human resources processes in compliance, but is heavily focused on M&A. The role works closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams in People and across the business to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic goals.
What You'll Do
Plan, execute, and oversee M&A projects from due diligence to post-merger integration, ensuring people team timelines and objectives are met.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, milestones, risk assessments, and deliverables.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including corporate development, compliance, legal, and finance.
Monitor project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards.
Identify potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and monitoring for issues.
Assess and manage project scope changes.
Support due diligence efforts by gathering, analyzing, and documenting relevant data.
Facilitate integration planning and execution, ensuring alignment between merging entities.
Monitor and report on project progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Serve as a project owner and point of contact for all M&A and compliance-related activities.
Prepare and deliver clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
Develop and refine tools, templates, and processes to improve efficiency in M&A and compliance projects.
Identify lessons learned and implement best practices for future projects.
What You'll Need
Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in project management, with specific experience in M&A, payroll and tax, HR compliance, or general HR highly preferred.
What You Bring
Proven track record of managing highly complex cross-functional projects.
Strong knowledge of M&A processes, HR and compliance frameworks.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday.com) and Google suite.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of all HR functions with a background in management, performance, and engagement.
Knowledge of, and experience with, change management principles.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage and influence various stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a rapidly evolving environment.
Interest in, and curiosity for, designing and building project plans with high sensitivity and high urgency.
Self-directed with a high level of initiative; ability to set priorities, meet challenging deadlines and achieve quick resolution of issues.
Competence in making timely, effective, and principles-based decisions using strong judgment to weigh inputs from multiple stakeholders and effectively managing tradeoffs, then aligning stakeholders to those decisions.
Understanding of various global employment laws and their impact on HR matters.
Demonstrated ability to partner within and outside of HR successfully.

Ability to travel internationally for offsites and events as needed.
Strong desire and preference to work in a fully remote, global environment and not in an office.
