Requirements
➔ Care about our mission and see it as a “personal” problem to be solved professionally.
➔ Scientist I: A Ph.D. in biopolymers (proteins, polysaccharides) with expertise in material science and physical techniques for texture generation.
➔ +7 years of postgraduate or industry (Technology or applied science research) experience.
➔ Research experience in polymer texturization technologies e.g. extrusion, shear cell, power heating, and spinning technologies.
➔ Knowledge and/or research experience in texture generation and relevant characterization techniques e.g. Rheology, Tribology, Texture Analysis.
➔ Knowledge and/or research experience in surface engineering design and relevant characterization techniques is a benefit e.g. Contact Angle Goniometry, Zeta Potential - surface charge.
➔ Train and coach technology researchers and students on relevant characterization techniques, if needed.
➔ Experience using predictive modeling tools (e.g. MatLab) for modeling process-microstructure and/or microstructure textural properties is a plus.
➔ A strong sense of science for application and interest in novel technologies.
