Key Responsibilities:
● Provide scaffolding and temporary works design schemes for Construction Oil and Gas Industrial Projects
● Develop detailed engineering drawings and calculations
● Ensure all designs adhere to the latest codes of practice, UK NASC TG, KSA, Qatar Oil & Gas regulations and Company policies.
● Apply engineering knowledge to analyze the structural integrity of scaffolding and temporary work structures
● Ensure designs are compliant with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
● Producing design calculations to prove structural integrity of designs.
● Conduct site surveys, collect and assess site information, liaise with clients and site teams
● Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure project requirements are met
● Understand the practicalities of the erection, use and dismantling of scaffolding functions in key industry sectors, and apply this knowledge to improve our service provision
● Accurate and timely delivery of scaffold design requirements
● Maintain accurate documentation and records of design activities
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering
● Minimum 3-5 years’ Experience in Industrial Scaffolding design and engineering
● Good understanding of AutoCAD 2D & 3D
● Ability to use REVIT, STAAD Analysis software, ROBOT or similar software.
● Knowledge of the main requirements of Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations
● Knowledge of the main requirements of TG20-21 Design & Operation
● Knowledge of the main requirements of The Work at Height Regulations (WAHR)
● Strong knowledge of the relevant KSA and GCC Standards
● Proficiency in G-Suit, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word.
● Excellent English language communication skills both written and spoken
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
● Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
Candidate overview:
Applicants who may have worked within design, scaffolding and engineering for the industrial and construction industries and have recently obtained a relevant qualification will be considered.
Candidates who have recently graduated from a full-time course with at least three years in industry (i.e. working within the design / engineering / Industrial, oil and gas and construction industry) will also be considered.
A track record of experience in and delivery of scaffolding or temporary works design would give an applicant an advantage, however experience in civil or structural permanent works design within the construction industry or industrial environments would also be acceptable.
