As a Senior Account Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of mid-market to strategic merchants, driving long-term success, product adoption, and revenue growth. This is a high-impact role where your ability to build relationships, develop strategic account plans, and manage cross-functional teams will directly influence retention and expansion outcomes. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to merchants, advocating for their needs while ensuring alignment with internal stakeholders. Ideal for a driven professional with a background in ecommerce, payments, or fintech who thrives in a remote-first, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Own and grow a portfolio of Mid-Market, Upper Mid-Market, and Strategic merchant accounts through tailored strategies and account plans.
  • Build trusted relationships with merchants, proactively identifying opportunities and preventing potential escalations.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews, analyze merchant health, and influence commercial decisions to drive retention and upsell.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Support, Product, Sales, Engineering) to solve complex challenges and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Lead negotiations and support the rollout of new features or integrations that improve the merchant experience.
  • Monitor KPIs and account performance, identifying growth opportunities that directly impact revenue.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of experience in account management or sales, preferably within ecommerce, fintech, or payment technology.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyze data, navigate value-based discussions, and lead complex negotiations.
  • Proven ability to build deep, consultative relationships with clients and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic problem-solver with a passion for helping businesses grow and succeed.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Enthusiasm for innovative technology and its impact on modern commerce.
