This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of iits Consulting. We are currently looking for a (Senior) Cloud Engineer with Google Cloud Experience in Germany.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies to build and manage modern, scalable software infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in automating infrastructure deployment using GitOps principles and developing custom tools to optimize cloud environments. The position embraces remote work across Germany and encourages collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients. It is ideal for a hands-on engineer passionate about continuous improvement, cloud architecture, and software development life cycle best practices.

Accountabilities:

  • Deploy and manage cloud-native applications using GitOps frameworks such as ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Develop infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform and Helm to automate cloud resources.
  • Build custom tools and Kubernetes operators in Go to enhance automation and operational efficiency.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and related cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Troubleshoot and debug network issues within distributed systems.
  • Collaborate closely with customers and internal teams to deliver tailored cloud solutions.
  • Set up, operate, and improve CI/CD pipelines aligned with modern software development lifecycle practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes deployment workflows.
  • Strong skills in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform and Helm.
  • Proficiency in Go programming or the ability to rapidly learn it for building CLIs, operators, or tooling.
  • Solid shell scripting capabilities (Bash).
  • Hands-on experience managing Google Cloud Platform environments using Terraform.
  • Expertise in GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux for Kubernetes management.
  • Ability to debug complex network issues in distributed systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a client-focused mindset.
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1) and good English proficiency (B2).
