About the role
As a Senior MuleSoft Engineer, you will make an impact by leveraging your expertise in MuleSoft API-Led Connect (L2) and Mule ESB to design, optimize, and maintain mission-critical integrations for our finance and accounting systems. Your work will ensure seamless data flow, high performance, and reliable connectivity across platforms. In this hybrid role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and deliver solutions that drive efficiency, compliance, and business growth. You will be a valued member of the Cloud Infrastructure and Security team and work collaboratively with the Senior Manager.
In this role, you will:
• Design, develop, and implement MuleSoft solutions to strengthen financial and accounting systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integrations using MuleSoft API-Led Connect (L2).
• Optimize Mule ESB processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Provide technical leadership and support on complex finance integration projects.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to maintain high system availability.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and security requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed technical specifications and documentation.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, consistent development practices.
• Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.
• Stay current on MuleSoft advancements and integration best practices.
• Contribute to strategic planning to align IT integration solutions with business goals.
• Manage hybrid work effectively, balancing on-site and remote collaboration.
Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Charlotte, NC. What you need to have to be considered
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft API-Led Connect (L2) and Mule ESB.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting system requirements.
• Proven experience troubleshooting and optimizing MuleSoft integrations in production.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong documentation skills for technical processes and specifications.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
