Purpose

To comply with all controlled processes and procedures ensuring deliveries are accurately booked in within a timely manner and materials are supplied to production in advance of schedules. Accurately receive and control finished goods. Picking and dispatching of finish products to customers and distributors. The Senior warehouse operator will also ensure stock quantity figures are accurate while ensuring, a smooth running of all aspects of warehousing.

Requirements

  • Ensure all training relevant to the position and required tasks are completed and kept up to date. Use assigned initials within cGMP environment.
  • All documentation relating to Nelson’s products are kept within Quality Management System (QMS) and adhere to Data Integrity (see POL-002).
  • Understanding and adhering to cGMP environment requirements.
  • Receive goods in promptly, book in through the WMS (Warehouse Management System), barcode label materials, deal with any damages and communicate with Purchasing, Quality Control and Production in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure that all Finished goods are managed and transported in line with current standard operating procedures (SOPs) to a standard which maintains the integrity and parity of the dietary supplement.
  • Ensure that the control procedure for UK and Export despatches are conducted in accordance with the relevant SOPs.
  • Ensure that SRP packs are made within accordance of relevant SOPs
  • Ensure that all incoming products are properly protected in such a way as to prevent damage and unnecessary contamination and deterioration in quality whilst being stored or held pending production processing.
  • Ensure third party contract deliveries are booked in and transferred to the correct location by way of purchase order receipts and works order completions.
  • Return goods, as appropriate, to suppliers ensuring all paperwork has been completed and goods are correctly moved/removed from SAP
  • Effectively and promptly locate materials into stock locations ensuring correct quantities are showing on SAP.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Pick works orders for the production schedule ensuring that materials are picked and recorded correctly and ready ahead of schedule.
  • Ensure that all returned materials from production are checked as correct and quickly and accurately returned to the appropriate warehouse location, discrepancies must be highlighted and investigated immediately.
  • Conduct stock checks as required by the Company’s perpetual cycle count system. Discrepancies must be highlighted, documented, and investigated immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete all daily, weekly monthly checks are completed accurately and in full.
  • Work to high standards of warehouse hygiene and tidiness. This will include routine cleaning of the racking, stored products, and the warehouse.
  • Work in a safe manner with full regard for the Company’s Health and Safety regulations
  • Always Work to standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
  • Ensure any concerns with product, racking, plant or equipment and accidents/near misses are promptly reported to the Warehouse Supervisor
  • Load vehicles with Finished Goods going to the appropriate customers, Distributors and third-party warehouse.
  • Conduct any other reasonable management requested task.
  • Manage the warehouse and maintain an efficient operation in the absence of the warehouse supervisor during holidays and sickness.

Education Background/ Experience desired

Essential

• English and Maths to GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent).

• Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.

• Current and valid forklift, reach and counterbalance licenses.

• Working Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).

• Previous experience of computerised inventory control systems, e.g. WMS and/or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).

• IT literate including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, e.g. Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Good understanding of HSE.

• Flexible approach to work and tasks.

• Be confident, and self-motivated.

• Manage and prioritise task effectively.

• Ability to work accurately, with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to work as part of a team.
