As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will collaborate closely with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to enhance system reliability, optimize performance, and drive automation. The position involves hands-on deployment, incident response, and contributing to long-term infrastructure strategies, including compliance with security frameworks. Accountabilities:

  • Partner with Engineering and Security teams to establish and apply SRE principles, processes, and security controls.
  • Support the implementation and onboarding of security tools and technologies.
  • Build and maintain monitoring tools to report on system performance and key reliability metrics.
  • Provide on-call emergency response and handle incident escalation as needed.
  • Plan and execute configuration changes at both application and infrastructure levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for SRE processes and tools.
  • Participate in the hiring process by reviewing candidates and conducting interviews.
  • Enhance documentation, including runbooks and application guides, focusing on clarity and rationale.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
  • Proven experience managing and securing cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
  • Hands-on knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub CI, CircleCI).
  • Strong background supporting Linux production systems, including firewall, access control, and encryption management.
  • Familiarity with security standards and compliance programs like SOC2, ISO 27001, and PCI is advantageous.
  • Practical understanding of security practices within the software development lifecycle and IT security domains.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript.
