This role offers a unique opportunity to work on the core transaction processing systems that enable seamless and secure payment flows. You will contribute both technically and through leadership by developing reliable, scalable backend services using Java and Python. The position involves ownership of key initiatives from conception to launch, while working in a dynamic fintech environment focused on innovation and high standards. You will gain deep expertise in distributed systems and card payments, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure excellence and continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure high reliability and correctness of transaction gateway services.
  • Develop and deploy new features to enhance customer experience and product capability.
  • Maintain secure, scalable, and low-tech-debt codebases in backend services.
  • Lead project initiatives end-to-end, keeping stakeholders aligned and informed.
  • Drive improvements in systems, processes, and team practices both within the team and across engineering.
  • Mentor and empower team members to foster growth and collaboration.
  • Participate actively in the teamโ€™s on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience shipping software in a production environment and leading technical projects.
  • Strong instincts and skills in designing and managing distributed systems.
  • Commitment to empathy, inclusion, and effective communication.
  • Growth mindset with a continuous desire to learn and improve.
  • Technical leadership capabilities are a plus.
  • Interest in fintech and the payments industry preferred.
