Sr. UX Researcher (Remote - US)

This role plays a critical part in shaping engaging digital experiences by representing the voice and needs of users throughout the design process. You will leverage your expertise in usability and research methodologies to provide actionable insights that drive customer engagement across leading digital brands and platforms. Collaborating closely with product owners, designers, and editorial teams, you will influence the development of user-centered products. This position offers a remote work environment on a fixed-term assignment, perfect for a seasoned researcher passionate about creating meaningful user experiences.

Accountabilities:

• Develop, produce, and maintain research artifacts according to established frameworks.
• Conduct both moderated and unmoderated user studies independently, with occasional guidance.
• Translate research findings into clear, actionable recommendations to enhance user engagement.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and the research team to align on user needs and product goals.
• Advocate for users by thoroughly investigating their wants and needs through diverse research methods.
• Design study plans, scripts, and analyses that reflect user needs and inform design decisions.
• Contribute to the end-to-end research strategy from planning to execution.
• Present research insights to stakeholders to build consensus and foster big-picture thinking.
• Support development and implementation of research best practices in partnership with UX teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 5-10 years of UX research experience focused on mass-market web and mobile products.
• Strong knowledge of user-centered testing methodologies, usability, and accessibility principles.
• Expertise in human-computer interaction, experimental design, observational and field research methods, and data analysis.
• Proven ability to manage all phases of research including study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, and reporting.
• Portfolio or work samples demonstrating research approaches and delivered results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across teams.
