As SRE – Site reliability engineer, you will make an impact by optimizing our cloud infrastructure. You will be a valued member of the team and work collaboratively with Life Sciences teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement scalable cloud solutions using Google Kubernetes Engine to enhance system performance and reliability.

  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline the deployment process and ensure efficient resource utilization.

  • Monitor cloud infrastructure to identify and resolve potential issues proactively, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture and processes to support ongoing operations.

  • Conduct regular security assessments to safeguard cloud infrastructure and data integrity.

  • Optimize cloud costs by analyzing usage patterns and implementing cost-effective strategies.

  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Implement automated solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in cloud computing.

  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity.

  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance cloud capabilities.

Work model:

What you need to have to be considered

  • Possess a strong understanding of Google Kubernetes Engine and its application in cloud environments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in cloud architecture design and implementation.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Have a solid grasp of security best practices in cloud computing.
  • Show experience in cost optimization strategies for cloud services.
  • Display strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Salary and Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until September/18/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $49,001 – $107,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
