We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience in Desktop Support to join our dynamic team. This onsite role offers the opportunity to support end users and ensuring the smooth operation of desktop systems across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality technical support.

In this role, you will

End-User IT Support

  • Provide on-floor and remote support for end users, resolving hardware and software issues across Windows and Google Chrome OS environments.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot laptops, office automation tools, and peripherals such as printers and scanners.
  • Manage ITIL-based Incident, Change, and Service Request processes to ensure timely resolution and service delivery.
  • Escalate unresolved technical issues to higher-level support teams and track resolution progress.
  • Capture and report customer feedback and potential product enhancement requests.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach with excellent communication and multitasking skills.

IT Asset Management & Operations

  • Own and manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring compliance with defined SLAs and KPIs.
  • Drive and monitor ticket queues for asset allocation, release, and closure, ensuring timely execution.
  • Conduct ageing ticket analysis to identify delays and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze process gaps leading to asset operation escalations and recommend effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate stock tracking using organizational methods and tools.
  • Oversee inventory management operations including material handling, storage, and preservation.
  • Plan and execute periodic asset verification, investigate discrepancies, and recommend resolutions.
  • Track operational action points and maintain threshold stock levels to avoid shortages.
  • Publish daily dashboards to report on asset operations, inventory status, and performance metrics.

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills

· 3–6 years of experience in desktop support or systems engineering in a corporate environment.

· Strong technical skills in troubleshooting Windows/Mac OS, hardware, and software issues.

· Experience with desktop imaging, configuration, and deployment tools.

· Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote support tools.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with users and team members.

· Ability to document technical procedures and maintain support records.

· Proactive mindset with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills: What will help you stand out

· Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) and Utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting, tracking, and analysis.

· Knowledge of endpoint security and compliance standards.

· Exposure to cloud-based desktop environments (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Azure AD).

· Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are a plus.
