About the role
As a Systems Engineer, you will make an impact by being instrumental in maintaining the reliability and performance of desktop systems across a hybrid workforce. Your work will directly influence employee productivity, system uptime, and data security. By resolving technical issues efficiently and proactively enhancing IT processes, you will contribute to operational excellence and support the company’s strategic objectives. You will be a valued member of our Cloud and Infrastructure Security team and work collaboratively with our Manager.
In this role, you will:
• Deliver responsive technical support for desktop systems to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software for optimal system performance.
• Collaborate with IT team members to identify and implement process improvements.
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues to reduce downtime.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of IT policies and procedures to improve system reliability.
• Maintain detailed records of support requests and resolutions to identify trends and recurring issues.
• Ensure adherence to company security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
• Communicate effectively with end users to understand needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices through ongoing training.
• Support remote employees by providing timely and effective technical assistance.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
• Contribute to the creation of user guides and documentation for common troubleshooting scenarios.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
Work model:

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Titusville, NJ . Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until September 4, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $50,000 - $59,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
