We are seeking a meticulous and creative Technical Designer to join a high-growth, digital-first fashion environment. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of product development, ensuring each garment meets high standards of fit, construction, and quality from prototype to production. You’ll collaborate with teams across design, product development, and sourcing to turn concepts into beautifully executed products. Accountabilities:
- Lead fit sessions (virtually or in person) to assess sample quality and communicate adjustments for improved construction and fit.
- Translate fit findings into actionable pattern corrections and ensure accurate communication to global factory partners.
- Approve all samples (Proto, SMS, PPS, TOP) in line with brand standards and timeline goals.
- Develop and maintain complete and precise tech packs including BOMs, construction details, and graded specs.
- Track style status and sample timelines using Asana; proactively identify risks or delays.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align on design intent, margin expectations, and technical feasibility.
- Document all technical materials with accuracy and version control in internal systems.
- Drive ongoing process improvements and share knowledge across the team to elevate technical practices and outcomes.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in technical design, product development, or garment engineering within the apparel industry.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, fit evaluation, grading, and fabric behavior.
- Strong command of Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Suite, and Google Drive; familiarity with Asana and Slack preferred.
- Skilled at identifying fit issues and communicating clear corrective actions to global partners.
- Comfortable working in remote, cross-functional environments and using virtual collaboration tools.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple styles in parallel.
- Degree in Technical Design, Fashion Design, or a related discipline.
