We are currently seeking a Treasury & Credit Controller at Vivo Energy Madagascar to manage efficiently the treasury & credit department in accordance with local & group policies and procedures. The Treasury & Credit Controller will ensure risk assessment and implement appropriate controls pertinent to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Treasury

  • Ensure a constant proper management of cash and overdraft facilities.
  • Perform accounts reconciliations and controls on a timely basis.
  • Execute proper Foreign exchanges deals in accordance with treasury policies and procedures.
  • Conduct proper controls over local currency and Forex Payments processing
  • Develop and Maintain up to date fit for purpose treasury procedures.
  • Manage and maintain banking mandate as per the group guidelines and Treasury Policy.
  • Manage and maintain banking relationships as per the Group Treasury guidelines and Local
  • Act as the company insurance focal point to ensure insurance / Risk management
  • Develop a Business Continuity Plan for treasury operations, ensuring it is regularly maintained and tested. and treasury Business continuity plan
  • Ensure insurance of bonds and guarantees on timely basis and properly controlled

Credit

  • Ensure timely order processing of billing, invoices, credit notes, and statements (including payment plans) and delivery to customers
  • Conduct a Credit Exposure Management proactively
  • Manage processes and procedures related to Credit Performance management and Debt Collection
  • Ensure bad debt Management
  • Assess and recommend provisions for write-offs and recoveries.
  • Provide with accurate and timely reporting and analysis of Trade and Credit metrics.
  • Oversee cash application, receipting, and allocation practices.
  • Conduct credit data base Management.
  • Foster strong relationships with business clients and customers to enhance collaboration.
  • Liaise with central team for credit issue

Requirements

  • Master degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in treasury or finance
  • Proven ability to work effectively in team settings accompanied by excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other relevant financial management systems
  • Risk Management expertise.
  • Understanding of treasury operations and principles.
  • Knowledge of taxation principles.
  • Governance and business controls acumen.
  • Strong grasp of credit control practices.
