The Waste Water Instrumentation Specialist plays a key role in the operation and maintenance of instrumentation systems for wastewater treatment facilities. This position involves troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining various instruments and control systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with environmental standards. The specialist will work closely with engineering teams to support process optimization and provide technical expertise related to instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control equipment related to wastewater treatment processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation systems to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on instruments to prevent downtime and maintain efficiency.
- Assist in the development of preventive maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation issues.
- Collaborate with process engineers to optimize instrumentation performance and enhance wastewater treatment processes.
- Document maintenance activities, calibration records, and technical reports as required.
- Conduct training for operations staff on instrumentation use and troubleshooting techniques.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in wastewater instrumentation.
- Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with safety regulations related to instrumentation work.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Educational qualifications: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in instrumentation engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 5–8 years of experience in instrumentation, particularly in the wastewater treatment or similar industrial sector.
More than 12 projects experience of waste water treatment and sewer network
- Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and relevant instrumentation.
- Experience with calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various instrumentation devices such as flow meters, pressure sensors, and analyzers.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and control system architectures.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Skills:
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools for instrumentation and control.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications related to instrumentation systems.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety in all work performed.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
