As a Lead Web Developer, you will play a critical leadership role in driving the technical development of client-facing websites, web apps, and internal digital tools. You will oversee the full development lifecycle, manage a small team of developers, and collaborate with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver high-performing, SEO-optimized, and user-centric web solutions.

- Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide and support frontend and backend developers in technical and professional growth
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices (clean code, performance, accessibility)
- Lead weekly dev stand-ups and monthly skill-building sessions
- Workflow & Productivity
- Analyze and improve current development workflows (Git branching, deployment pipelines, task management)
- Implement standards for reusable components, naming conventions, and coding patterns
- Work closely with project managers and designers to align goals and timelines
- Project Oversight
- Take technical ownership of WordPress and MERN stack projects
- Oversee custom theme development, landing pages, and complex backend logic
- Ensure cross-browser, responsive, and SEO-friendly implementations
- Innovation & Strategy
- Identify and introduce tools, frameworks, or methodologies to boost team efficiency
- Collaborate on automation, CI/CD improvements, and better deployment practices
- Propose scalable solutions and architecture for larger or ongoing client projects.
- Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Participate in technical planning sessions with clients as needed
- Translate client requirements into technical solutions and clear tasks
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in web development
- Expertise in WordPress (custom themes, hooks, ACF, Gutenberg, plugin dev)
- Proficiency in MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js)
- Strong command of HTML, CSS (SASS/Tailwind), JavaScript/TypeScript, REST APIs
- Experience with Git, deployment tools (e.g., Vercel, Netlify, cPanel, or GitHub Actions)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of SEO and Core Web Vitals optimization
- Experience with Agile or Kanban workflows (ClickUp, etc.)
- UI/UX understanding and working with design tools like Figma
